by james82_watt @ 2006-03-27 - 09:37:21

Dr Kiran Marthak, a Director of Veeda CR, is delighted to have joined the Veeda
CR at this exciting juncture. Dr Marthak is a pioneer of clinical research activities
in India and brings to Veeda CR experience of working with pharmaceutical
majors such as Novartis, German Remedies, Pfizer, and Ranbaxy.
Dr Marthak said “We have managed to combine the best of a top 5 Early Clinical
Development Unit in the UK, with all the advantages of a vibrant new unit on the
Indian subcontinent, with both Units operating to exactly the same stringent
standards set by international regulatory authorities”
Veeda CR has adopted the image of the Bengal Tiger to exemplify its promise to
“Unleash the power of India”. Maurice Cross, a Director of Veeda CR’s said “our
marketing team was searching for an icon that represented the power, strength
and integrity of Veeda and was also indigenous to the Indian sub continent. Our
research gave us a number of interesting alternatives but the dignity and
overwhelming presence of the Bengal Tiger fit the bill perfectly. When we saw the
photograph it simply swept us away, both our UK and Indian colleagues were
unanimous in their enthusiasm for it. We understand Veeda means “knowledge”
and our tiger exudes knowledge and wisdom from every pore. It is a wonderful
symbol of both India and Veeda CR.”
